i never really hated danny as much as most of the fandom but i still rolled my eyes pretty hard when i saw he was gonna be in luke cage season 2 but i am actually really pleasantly surprised at how much i love their dynamic because they balance each other out so well

luke’s anger is getting the best of him this season and danny encourages him to meditate and find his inner peace

danny is still out here rambling about dragons and k’un-lun with complete earnestness and luke never fails to bring him back down to earth by reminding him how crazy he sounds

luke has a natural gravitas and patience that make him a really good mentor and he’s consistently reminding danny of his privilege and how to use that for good

danny is like a spiritual mentor to luke, teaching him how to focus his chi, and even if luke doesn’t necessarily believe all of it, there’s no denying it’s helped him

i just love them together so much, danny is so much less annoying around luke and luke gets to loosen up when danny’s around 

they’re like a yippy little dog who is inexplicably best friends with a big chill dog

and also the patty cake was a bomb ass move
