I like to think that Link’s journey wasn’t always badass fights and adventure. It was also waking up in a dangerous world with no memory of his past, no armor or weapons, no food, and his sole determination to keep going.
The first blood moon got him in a terrible situation and he had to run away from his fire camp after a bunch of monsters came back to life at took him by surprise as he was asleep. He was injured, defenseless and extremely angry.
This drawing is the following night. Link came back to the said fire camp, determined to get his provisions back and to kill the monsters who hurt him. He only found a bow and few arrows to fight but it’s enough. I’m pretty sure he got sick after that night but at least he got his food back.
Kyo from DIR EN GREY publishes a picture book, collaboration with Hello Kitty was refused?!
Fans flooded the area before the start of the event at 1pm. Kyo signed close to 1500 books and responded with a smile to an enthusiastic ‘I got mesmerized by this mysterious world’ voice from fans.
Kyo said that the idea for the book appeared suddenly. Soon there was a talk about collaborating with Sanrio well known for Hello Kitty, however it was completetly refused. Hello Kitty is doing various collaborations, with many local souvenirs or horror items released, so why was this idea refused?!
‘They might have wanted to avoid quite scary characters… I hate the usual happy endings. I’d submit/send [my work] to someone who has sympathy for realism’ explained Kyo.
In the picture book appear characters made by Kyo, the family of Zemeckises including Penyu. There’s the meeting of father and mother, and various conflicts, not present in a usual picture books, that darkness and sadness, yet upon finishing reading there’s a lot of satisfaction.
Kyo said that in the future he will try to make a sequel and work again with mascot characters. If the popularity skyrockets, who knows maybe the collaboration with Hello Kitty will someday come true.
