The Snwitch’s LGBTQIA+ Protection Spell

Hello everyone! As you may have heard, the United States recently legalized same-sex marriage, which is really exciting for all of my fellow LGBTIA+ people in the US. In honor of this, In honor of this, I decided to make a special spell specifically to help protect LGBTQIA+ people from harassment, outing, and the other problems that many of us have to deal with every single day. This spell uses the colors of the rainbow flag, though it is by no means the only flag to represent the LGBTQIA+ community. I just used it since it is the most well-known symbol of the community 🙂 Enjoy!

What you’ll need:

-1 thread or ribbon in each of these colors: Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple

-1 small bottle, bag/sachet, or container (preferably clear). I actually simply tied the string onto my hairbrush rather than putting it in a container.

What you do:

Gather all of your materials.

Place the red string into the container. Say: “Red, color of strength, give me the strength to push forward even when those who oppose me try to bring me down and invalidate my identity.”

Place the orange string into the container. Say: “Orange, color of justice, may justice be on my side when people try to bully, invalidate, or hurt me. Keep me safe from those who may wish to do me harm because of my gender identity/sexuality.”

Place the yellow string into the container. Say: “Yellow, color of intellect, help to educate those who are ignorant to matters of sexuality and gender identity. Help them to understand, even when they have been previously taught not to.”

Place the green string into the container. Say: “Green, color of acceptance, help my friends, family, and peers to accept me for who I really am.”

Place the blue string into the container. Say: “Blue, color of trust, may those who I choose to reveal my true self to maintain my trust and never out me to others without my permission.”

Place the purple string into the container. Say: “Purple, color of governing powers, may my sexuality/gender identity never hinder me when it comes to matters of society, schooling, or business. May people see me as the equal that I am.”

Seal the container tight. Send your energy into it and say: “Colors of the rainbow flag, protect me from all harm. I am equal. I am valid. I exist, and I matter just as much as anyone else in this society.”

Place the container in a special, secure place, or carry it with you into places where you may be at risk for harm as a result of your sexual orientation or gender identity.

I hope you enjoyed! Please let me know if you would be interested in seeing modifications of this spell to utilize the colors of different LGBTQIA+ flags (for example, the pink, purple, and blue of the bisexual flag or the black, grey, white, and purple of the asexual flag.) If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask. Thanks for reading,

Livi
