Okay so the Wayne Manor HAS to be a popular place for trick-or-treating, right?

Even though it’s out of the way, Gotham kids always demand that their parents stop there before going home because they just know it’ll be worth it.

And the batfam LOVES getting in the Halloween spirit. The first weekend of Oct, they always have family bonding time out of setting up all the decorations in the yard and setting up a portion of the manor as a haunted house.

They love being the ones to hand out candy too, but unfortunately they can’t all be there each Halloween because SOMEONE has to be on patrol.

Well what if one night Jason’s doing his own patrol in his section of the city and suddenly he sees Red Robin stopping a mugging?

At first Jason is pissed bc this is his territory and he told the batfam to stay away if they knew what was good for them. But Tim raises his hands in surrender before Jason can even try to start a fight and says,

“It’s your turn to give out candy.”

And naturally Jason’s reaction is to say, “Fuck that.” He’s not doing any family traditions anymore because he’s not part of the family.

Tim doesn’t fight him on it. He just shrugs and says, “That’s fine. Alfred will just have to go at it alone this year.” He then leaves Jason to take post on one of the skyscrapers nearby, making a point that he’s not going anywhere.

And Jason knows exactly what Tim is doing, knows that Tim is being a sly little bastard with his carefully planned indifference. Its probably the reason Tim had been sent to get him over anyone else in the first place.

Tim knew exactly how to hit without throwing any punches. Jason knows Tim is like this but still, throwing Alfred in his face like that, really?

So Jason leaves, not before flipping the bird at Tim as he grapples away, and he has a wonderful time with Alfred, visiting and passing out candy to the kids while the rest of the batfam watches over their city.

He has such a good time, in fact, that he only trashes Bruce’s room a tiny little bit, before he leaves.
