Some people think that Dick being a cop must imply that he’s okay with using guns, but that isn’t true!
Dick became an officer hoping to influence the police force positively, and even after graduating he still chose not to use guns.

Becoming Nightwing didn’t change his morals, nor did graduating from the police academy.
